Shot from 2003 to 2005 with a Canon s45 four megapixel digital camera, over about 2.5 years. Shot from 14th floor, Wakefield House, on Wakefield st. Each day is 2 frames taken around lunchtime. The camera was set up to take a shot every 5 minutes... This became a problem as storage was expensive back then, and I was funding this out of my own pocket. I didn't put every frame in the video as it would go for ages. Boring. There were periods that I missed while my equipment was either busted or down, and the capture software was unreliable.

Adelaide, Australia, is one of the nation’s most striking cities. Situated over the River Torrens and overlooking the Gulf of St. Vincent, Adelaide is the perfect combination of big-city living and outdoor beauty. Start out your Adelaide sightseeing by watching the sunrise at the beach, followed by a cup of tea or coffee at one of the many cafes around Victoria Square. The nearby St. Francis Xavier Cathedral towers over Wakefield Street, and the Adelaide Central Market is a wonderful place to find fresh produce. Triumphs and tragedies in building a nation. The story of the struggle to cross a vast continent and build the telegraph line that would bring Australia to the world and the world to Australia. Australia in the mid 1800s was a land isolated by distance and divided between two very different cultures. John McDouall Stuart, a migrant from Scotland, was determined to cross the centre of Australia and reach the north coast. His success would pave the way for a communications revolution. Charles Todd had dreamed of constructing a telegraph line through the heart of the continent and in Stuart he found the man who could prove the inhospitable centre could be crossed. The telegraph's construction heralded the start of a new communications era every bit as revolutionary as the internet. News fro...
