A five-star Green star and NABERS design rated development is flashing before our eyes in Adelaide’s North. The team from Hansen Yuncken has been involved in the project since inception and are 5 months into construction. Already , 110 piles have been completed and the first of 19 concrete pours commenced this week. Working with the City of Port Adelaide Enfield to create a ‘living port, the Project is utilising 99% local contractors and currently has 25 workers on site which will peak to in excess of 100 later this year. Celebrating the conclusion of sub-structure works, the team has launched this snapshot time-lapse. Stay tuned to our YouTube channel for future updates....
Shot from 2003 to 2005 with a Canon s45 four megapixel digital camera, over about 2.5 years. Shot from 14th floor, Wakefield House, on Wakefield st. Each day is 2 frames taken around lunchtime. The camera was set up to take a shot every 5 minutes... This became a problem as storage was expensive back then, and I was funding this out of my own pocket. I didn't put every frame in the video as it would go for ages. Boring. There were periods that I missed while my equipment was either busted or down, and the capture software was unreliable.

The $535 million redevelopment of Adelaide Oval into a multiprupose stadium is set to revitalise the city's riverbank precinct. Hames Sharley is working in a JV with Cox Architecture (lead) and Walter Brooke, and the project involves the construction of a new southern and eastern stand, and will retain the heritage scoreboard, grassed northern mound, views of the St. Peters Cathedral and the famous Moreton Bay fig trees nearby.
